We have reserved a private event space for this year's student social on Thursday, November 12th from 8-10 PM. Lucy’s New Orleans, located in the heart of the Warehouse District on New Orleans’ celebrated Tchoupitoulas Street, about a 15 minute walk from the Crowne Plaza New Orleans. Participation is limited to the first 75 students and postdoc who register and pay the $10.00 extra registration fee. This event is made possible by a contribution from Wiley, the publishers of the ISDP journal Developmental Psychobiology, and the ISDP Society. The nominal registration fee is required to help in organizing this private event space and confirm numbers of participants, as we will be ordering a buffet dinner. Drinks are not included, a CASH bar will be available. Participation is limited, however, if we have an overwhelming response, we will consider opening this up to more student and postdoc participants. We have reserved the Attic event space at Lucy's New Orleans, as it offers a relaxed, indoor/outdoor atmosphere located on the 2nd floor of Lucy’s, The Attic sits directly above the main bar and dining room and offers exclusive entrances to a private gallery overlooking New Orleans’ Warehouse District.
Please plan to meet up in the lobby at the Crowne Plaza by 7:45 PM (the poster session ends at 7:30 PM) as we would like to walk over to the restaurant together. The venue is about a 15 minute walk from the Crowne Plaza.
There is a nominal registration fee of $10.00 per person which will include a NEW ORLEANS BUFFET:
- Seasonal Seafood Beignets, served with a remoulade sauce
- Mini Boudin Balls, served with creole mayo
- Seasonal Sautéed Veggies
- Main Entree: Chicken & sausage jambalaya
LUCY'S HOUSEMADE CHIPS & SALSA, daily, served with homemade tortilla chips
